Triclosan is a chemical compound used as an antimicrobial product. First started in scrub soap in hospitals, later expanded out to many consumer products. FDA restricted its use in soaps and other items labeled as antibacterial in 2017 due to limited research.
Chemically made, found to be a hormone disruptor, bioaccumulative ecotoxin, water pollutant, threatens plants/wildlife. Avoid.
