Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (Disodium EDTA)

Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (Disodium EDTA) is a chelating agent. Used as a stabilizer in cosmetics, it prevects ingredients in the formula from binding with trace elements and minerals (Chelates).

Can be an allergen, safe as long as it is under 3 grams/per day that could be ingested. Suspected to be an accumulative ecotoxin because of it’s poor biodegradability.
